Huntington High School Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors have been studying Khaled Hosseini's incredibly popular novel THE KITE RUNNER, and how the history of Afghanistan is important to our society. They want to share what they've learned with the community!
Join them by experiencing a theatrical adaption of the novel by American Place Theatre's Literature To Life program at the Huntington Public Library on Friday, April 3 at 7:00 PM.
Then, later in April, Huntington High School Seniors will facilitate discussions of the novel with the assistance of Youth & Parent Services Librarians. Exact dates and times to be announced.
Literature To Life, The American Place Theatre's performance-based literacy program, presents a professionally staged verbatim adaptation of THE KITE RUNNER by Kahled Hosseini. This dramatic performance will bring to life the strong themes and characters of Amir and Hassan in Hosseini's "Stunning debut novel." A pre and post performance discussion facilitated by a teaching artist will complete this visual literary experience.
This is a must for anyone who has been captivated by this powerful story.
